Director of the Southern Region: Mary B. Wright

Mary B. Wright is a graduate of Grambling State University and has received her certification in Business Education from the University of Southwestern Louisiana.

A retired business teacher (Lafayette, Louisiana), she is currently serving as Assistant Director of Development at Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart in Houston, Texas. Mrs. Wright holds membership in Independent Schools Association of the Southwest, National Association of Development Director, National Business Association and the Order of Eastern Star.

Mrs. Wright joined Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. at Grambling State University (Psi Beta Chapter) and became a Life Member of the Sorority while a member of Nu Epsilon Zeta Chapter in Lafayette. She is currently a member of Lambda Zeta Chapter in Houston, Texas. Mrs. Wright has served as National Director of Protocol and National Observances, Louisiana State Director, National State Director Coordinator, researcher and typist on the publication of the history book of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., "Torchbearers of a Legacy", and has held many positions on the local level such as President, 1st Vice-President, Secretary, and Chairman of many committees.

Mrs. Wright is married to James Wright of Arcadia, Louisiana (member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.) and they have one son, Randall Wright, M.D. (member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.) and he is married to Crystal Clay Wright, M.D.
